Open Society Georgia Foundation announces open competition to select lawyer/Patent attorney.
Since September 2018, Open Society Georgia Foundation together with partner organizations is implementing an international project USE OF TRIPS FLEXIBILITY TO INCREASE AFFORDABILITY OF TREATMENT FOR HIV, TUBERCULOSIS AND HEPATITIS C VIRUS IN MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES.
The goal of this project is to improve public health outcomes and generate financial savings by increasing access to treatment for HIV, HCV and TB in 17 low – and middle-income countries through the strategic use of TRIPS flexibilities.
Open Society Georgia Foundation will undertake various types of activities to insure affordability of essential medicines, including: preparation of data bases, raising awareness on intellectual property and access to medicines, strengthening civil society, preparation patent oppositions and conducting various campaigns.
Functions and responsibilities:
** Draft opposition/lawsuit and file case;
** Representation in court or in patent office;
** close cooperation and effective communication with project team;
** timely and qualitative fulfillment of imposed tasks and duties;
** open and clear relations while operation of duties;
** obtain and periodically update the data;
** provide consultations and assistance to project team in planning of different events and preparation of relevant documentation;
** participation in different thematic events.
** higher legal education;
** minimum 5 years working experience in relevant field;
** perfect knowledge of relevant legislation;
** membership of Gerogian Bar Association;
** status of patent attorney (will be considered as Advantage).
