In the light of the growing adverse effects of the pandemic, the Foundation’s senior leadership is reflecting on what our future role needs to be in advancing open societies so that we may have a greater impact in a radically different environment.
During this comprehensive review of all our work, we are considering ways to reimagine our structure and ways of working to more effectively take on the challenges and opportunities of advancing and defending justice, democratic governance, and human rights.
As a result of this process, we hope Open Society will be better equipped to bring more strategic focus to our work, seize moments of opportunity, and deepen the impact of our resources.
The main priority directions of our work will be announced by March 1, 2021. Accordingly, we will resume receiving online applications and conducting consultation sessions with grant seekers from the same period.
